Welcome to the River City Writers Group website. I’m Claudia Oltean, group leader. We are a Jacksonville-area chapter of the Florida Writer’s Association. Our meetings are open to anyone with an interest in writing fiction or non-fiction and to those who are new to writing, have unpublished material, or are indie or traditionally-published authors.
To attend our meetings you do not have to be a member of the Florida Writer’s Association and there is no charge.
We meet on the second Saturday of each month at the Southeast Regional Public Library, 10599 Deerwood Park Blvd. Jacksonville, Fl. 32256. See meeting times below.

—Saturday, April 11 Author Catherine Wu will discuss her "Long Winding Journey From A First-Generation Immigrant to a Debut Author." Room/Time TBA.
—Saturday, May 9 Authors Tracy Tripp and Dr Edward Mickolus will discuss the process of collaborating on their novel "White Noise Whispers." Room and Time TBA.
— Saturday, June 13 Author, Creative Writing Instructor and Editor John Boles will take questions on all aspects of writing/publishing. Room and time TBD.
— Saturday, July 11 "Open Mic Session" - participants can read from their works or work in process.
